Rozwadowska v. Polish National Alliance

A woman suffering from respiratory problems filed suit on March 4, 1992 against her former employer, alleging that she was fired in retaliation for complaining to the Chicago Board of Health about secondhand smoke at her job.  As an assistant secretary to the Alliance’s President, the plaintiff also contends that the PNA violated the Illinois Clean Indoor Air Act by refusing to provide a healthy work environment.  See Long, R., “Ex-aide Sues Polish Group over Smoking,” Chicago Sun-Times, March 5, 1992.
