Ryan v. Springfield Housing Authority

Discrimination Law Reporter 1198, 20 Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 1110, No. 89-SEM-0065, (Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, 1992).  An MCAD Hearing Commissioner ruled that a woman who claimed that she was terminated from her job because of her complaints about breathing secondhand tobacco smoke in her office did not establish a prima facie case that she was a handicapped individual.  Thus, her complaint was dismissed.  The full MCAD upheld the decision on May 27, 1992.
